Just finished this valentine illustration.
Romance is a lifestyle. It’s an old novel, a pretty dress, little flowers or cute curls. It’s all part of the mis en scène that makes me smile. Romance doesn’t always involve a romantic relationship. It can be a feeling you get while hearing a song or watching a pretty picture. When I think about romance I think about softness and embracing your vulnerability. Of course if you happen to be in love, these sides of you will show more obviously. I’m all for valentine’s day. There can’t be enough days to celebrate love. I say, be romantic during the entire year, be a femme fatale on valentine’s day!

Valentine illustration: softness and vulnerability…
Ik heb net deze Valentijn illustratie af. Romantiek is een levensstijl. Het is een ouderwets boekje, een mooi jurkje, kleine bloemetjes of schattige krullen. Het is allemaal onderdeel van de mis en scène waar ik persoonlijk van ga glimlachen. Romantiek heeft niet perse altijd met een relatie te maken. Het kan ook een gevoel zijn dat je krijgt als je een lied hoort of naar een mooie foto kijkt. Als ik aan romantiek denk, denk ik aan kwetsbaarheid en zachtheid. Als je toevallig verliefd bent zullen deze eigenschappen vanzelf meer naar buiten komen. Ik ben gek op Valentijn dag. Er kunnen niet genoeg dagen zijn om liefde te vieren. Ik zeg, wees het hele jaar romantisch en wees met Valentijn dag een sexy godin!
